These terms apply to your use of Japanesely, the Japanese-learning web app at myjapanesely.com ("Japanesely", "we", "us"). Japanesely is operated by an individual based in India. By creating an account or buying a subscription you agree to these terms.

1. Who can use Japanesely

Japanesely is for adults aged 18 or over. You confirm this when you create an account. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for activity on your account.

2. The service

Japanesely provides lessons, exercises, audio, spaced review and practice checks for learning Japanese. The free plan includes a selection of lessons. Japanesely Plus gives access to all published courses while your subscription is active. We add and correct material over time. When a lesson is corrected, your past results keep the version they were scored against.

Practice results are not official qualifications. Japanesely is not affiliated with the organisers of the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT), and we do not guarantee that you will pass any exam.

3. Subscriptions and payment

Japanesely Plus is sold as a monthly or annual subscription at the prices shown on our pricing section. Payments are processed by Polar Software Inc. ("Polar"), which acts as our merchant of record and reseller. Polar handles checkout, payment, sales tax or VAT, invoices and receipts, and its own terms apply to the purchase.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account or the Polar customer portal; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. We will tell you in advance before any price change takes effect for an existing subscription. Refunds are covered by our refund policy.

4. Acceptable use

Lessons, exercises, audio and other materials are original or licensed and are provided for your personal study. Do not copy, redistribute, resell or publish them, share your account, scrape or overload the service, or try to get around access controls or payment.

5. Your content and data

Your learning records, answers and any optional recordings belong to you. Recordings stay on your device unless a feature clearly says otherwise. You can export or delete your data at any time. How we handle personal data is described in our privacy policy.

6. Availability and changes

We aim to keep Japanesely available and accurate but provide it "as is" without guarantees of uninterrupted service. We may change or discontinue features; if we discontinue Japanesely Plus we will refund the unused part of any prepaid period.

7. Suspension and termination

You can stop using Japanesely and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, for example through payment fraud or redistribution of materials.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with its date, and tell account holders about material changes before they apply.

10. Law and contact
